I founded the organization in honor of my late daughter, Jennifer, who lost her life to sepsis in 2019 at the age of 37. She had a vision of establishing a business called "Blue J Enterprises," named after her striking blue eyes. I decided to transform her dream into a foundation aimed at assisting children and animals, with a particular focus on supporting kids who have experienced the loss of a parent. At the time of her passing, she left behind two children aged 13 and 18.
After waiting patiently for five years to obtain our tax-exempt status, I finally received it during the very same week that one of our students was given the news that his brain tumor had returned. In that moment, it felt like a profound message from Jenn, motivating me to utilize the foundation to support Benny and his family as our inaugural project.
Jennifer was a loving and devoted mother to Taylor and Ethan. She also diligently served as the Administrator of our school for over two decades. Her legacy continues through her daughter Taylor, who also attended Fields of Green as a child, and who has seamlessly assumed Jenn’s responsibilities within the school. Taylor's son, Michael, now thrives in our Seedlings class, while my son, Christopher, has also become an integral part of the school's workforce, carrying forward the values and dedication Jennifer herself displayed.
